Importing GPG keys in APT, the easy way

By on 20 janvier 2013, in Debian, Documentation, Informatique, Libre Software, Non classé, System administration, Ubuntu

This story takes place on Ubuntu 12.10 in the very recent present. It could have been the same on any decent Debian. Just add this to your .bashrc:

alias apt-import-key='sudo apt-key adv --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys'

You can use this apt-import-key command to import multiple keys at once: just specify them separated by spaces on the command line.

Ho my, this is already the end of this blog entry! Enjoy your new shell alias like any other little thing :-)
